Dietitian officers in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps play a key role in protecting the public health for underserved and vulnerable populations. As a dietitian officer you will be able to make a deep impact serving disadvantaged communities in both your primary position and during health emergencies and natural disasters. USPHS Commissioned Corps dietitians have very diverse skills and serve in a variety of roles including research, clinical nutrition, food service administration, public health nutrition, health policy, regulatory affairs, and managerial & supervisory roles. As USPHS Commissioned Corps officers, we are ready and prepared to respond to emergency situations, public health threats, and Remote Area Medical Events. As part of a national team of committed health care professionals, every day as a dietitian officer brings new and exciting challenges.
